Getting into Game Gen Adult Online Classes

Technical Requirements for Game Gen Online

  • PC or MAC Computer ( Chromebooks not supported )

  • Internet Access

  • Headphones

  • Microphone (Most laptops have a built-in microphone.)

Instructions

Four Steps and Your In!

  • Download Discord

  • Sign in to Discord

  • Join the Game Gen Server

  • Get “Student“ Role Assigned

1. Download Discord

Discord is our conferencing software. It is gamer-approved and your kids will love it! Go to www.discord.com and install it.

2. Sign in to Discord

Open Discord from the Start Menu on Windows or the Applications folder on macOS.

If you have an account already, use it. If your don't have an account, sign up for an account using an an email address and password you have access too. The account you create will be the account you use to connect to the classroom.

3. Join the Game Gen Server

Once you have an account on Discord, please click the link below. Use this code

Once you join, you’ll be taken to the "onboarding" channel. Game Gen teachers will be available to respond during our teaching hours only.

4. Get "Tour" Role Assigned

Send a message in the onboarding channel saying who you are, and a Game Gen teacher will set you up as an online student. Once you are a student you will have a lot more options for rooms!
