General: And in classic Capcom tradition, they thought they could squeese out 1 more... Just... One... More... Game... Out of the Street Fighter 2 series... Behold, Super Street Fighter 2: "Turbo"... Faster gameplay and 1 new character: Akuma. Super meters were also introduced, which of course allows players to unleash what we now call a "Super move"... The idea was just getting started and didn't really develop until the later Street Fighter Alpha series...

Comment: While it's probably the best of the SF2 series, fans with a half a brain cell could tell what Capcom was doing, and they wanted an entirely new game... Not another "re-make." But we love it for what it is.
