General:
Cody is addicted to fighting.But he once was a regular youth in Metro City, who was dating the mayor's daughter Jessica. When she was kidnapped by the gang Mad Gear, Cody, Guy and Haggar set out to rescue her. He eventually defeated the leader of Mad Gear, Belger, but realized that he was no hero, and left Jessica. Soon after that, Poison framed him and he was thrown into jail. After a riot he managed to escape, but he didn't do much during SFA3 and is probably back in jail now.

Comment:
Cody is a Capcom classic. He was always cool back in his Final Fight days, and his fighting game debut was even more original... Fighting in handcuffs! It really does make sense though, as he would be in jail after Final Fight 1. I mean, come on Cody, just walking the streets and beating the tar out of anyone you see because your girlfriend is missing? Heh heh.
